Abu Zubaydah has been detained by the United States without charge for more than 20 years.
Lithuania arboured operatives of what can only be classified as a State sponsored terrorist organization, the North American Central Intelligence Agency, who held Zubaydah at a secret site outside Vilnius where he was subjected to forms of torture.
Zubaydah was granted more than $110,000 compensation from the Lithuania government concerning its role in the abuses of the North American regime in European soil (source: theguardian.com).
I take the opportunity to recall that several western countries collaborated with the terrorist organization CIA to detain, transport and facilitate the torture of individuals without proof of any crimes being commited.
One of those countries was Portugal, whose air base in Azores (Air Force Base No 4) was used to illegally transfer those detainees. Portuguese authorities were soft with their North American longtime ally, and were also accomplices with the terrorist Middle East campaign ravaged by the United States and the United Kingdom under false premises.
I served in the Portuguese Air Force and had I known of such an insult to my country’s sovereignty and to basic human rights, and had I been the head of the Azores Air Base or of the Air Force at the time, I would promptly have kicked the North American military out of Portuguese territory the very next day.
Unfortunately, the promiscuity between European states members of NATO and the US Military encroached the parasytes on the Portuguese decision structures, to the point where the Alliance has as much authority, if not even more, over Portuguese assets, than the Portuguese authorities themselves.
It is of paramount importance to detach Europe from the NATO commitments in every respect related to the North American external policy. The USA has a large part of its society built on top of Defense expenditures, and that is the root reason why Defense partnership with the USA will always lead to fueling conflict and worsening of international relations.
Go to LinkedIn and you can see former US Defense contractors and politicians boast about their accomplishments in furthering Raytheon or other Pentagon suppliers agenda on Capitol Hill and the Congress.
The European states have to raise their standards and detach from the totalitarian state that the modern United States has become. The future of Europe is at stake and abuses can no longer be tolerated.
